Da Yan translates to the ‘great bird’ – an ancient Qigong practice that was developed by Daoist Masters about 1700 years ago, in the sacred Kunlun Mountains, in south west China.
Its healing legacy has been passed down through many generations, and Qigong Master Simon BlowSimon is an authorised teacher and an initiated student of the 28th linage holder Grand Master Chen Chuan Gang.

Information on the First 64 Movement Workshop:

The movements in the FIRST 64 movements represent the flight of Wild Geese and help to expel toxins from the body, cleanse the meridians, improve blood flow and draw in and circulate fresh Qi.
The First 64 movements deals primarily with the “post-natal” body and addresses illnesses or injuries that have developed as a result of everyday life.

Information on the SECOND 64 movements Workshop:

The movements in the Second 64 movements represent the flight of Wild Geese and help to expel toxins from the body, cleanse the meridians, improve blood flow and draw in and circulate fresh Qi.
Having dredged the channels in the 1st 64 form, the 2nd 64 set deals primary with the “pre-natal” body and is designed to clear the channels, absorb fresh Qi, expel stale Qi and restore organ balance.
The pre-requisite to undertake the 2nd 64 is completion and a good working knowledge of the 1st 64.

Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi

Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi, is a gentle, flowing sequence of 18 movements that combines elements of Tai Chi and Qigong, emphasising synchronised flow, with breathing and concentration, for improved health and well-being.

Taiji (Tai-Chi) and Qigong, focus on moving your body mindfully with minimal physical or mental tension, creating relaxation, tranquility and health.

Easy to learn, simple to practice.

Benefits:

* Provides gentle stretching and exercises major joints, tendons, and muscles.

* Massages internal organs, calms the mind, and reduces stress.

Absorbing the Essence comprises of the Qigong cultivation techniques taught to Simon by Grand Master Zhong Yunlong 14th generation lineage holder of Wudang Sanfeng Pai an Orthodox Internal Kung Fu at Wudang Mountain in China.

During this workshop, you will be expertly guided through the Wudang Longevity Qigong and the Ba Duan Jin Nurturing Life Qigong sitting form.

All these self-healing methods are featured in Simon’s Book/DVD Absorbing the Essence.

One Day Workshop

During this workshop, you will be expertly guided through the Wudang Longevity Qigong and the Ba Duan Jin Nurturing Life Qigong sitting form.

With regular practice, Qigong can help to cleanse the body of toxins, restore energy, reduce stress and anxiety and help individuals maintain a health and active life.

Other healing arts that have originated from the Daoist tradition include Acupuncture, Acupressure Massage, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Feng Shui and Taijiquan.

Qigong is one of the components of the holistic system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Simon Blow has been a professional Qigong teacher (Laoshi) since 1992, initiated into Dragon Gate Daoism and given the name ‘Xin Si’, meaning ‘Genuine Wisdom’.

An initiated student and 29th Generation of Da Yan – Wild Goose Qigong, Simon is also a Deputy Secretary of the World Academic Society of Medical Qigong in Beijing, China and a Committee Member Wushu Tai Chi Qigong Australia, WTQA.

Simon conducts many workshops and retreats throughout Australia and has been leading specialist study tours to China since 1999. He is the author of numerous books, DVDs and meditation CDs about the ancient healing arts.
